Final Blog :o)

After reading through my personal assessment I still feel that my numbers are the same; however, I do feel I'm making improvements towards a better me.  I have maintained my goals of exercise and practicing the meditation, breathing, and exercises i've learned in this class and feel that I wear a smile more and feel a little more convident dealing with stressful situations.

In the beginning of this class I struggled with calming my mind for a second. This caused stress and frustrations while trying to complete my assignments.  Through practice I have improved the length of time to 30 mins.  I have learned to redirect my inner thoughts and those which try to break my silience and how to come back to those thoughts and provide them with the time they need.

I have enjoyed my leaning experience as well as the discussions with my fellow classmates.  I feel that I have made a change in myself and will continue to grow with further practice.

Good luck to everyone on your journey :o)

  1. Dear Brandi,
I am glad that you have learned so much! I have too and I also experienced a similar reaction to the meditation process. It is just plain ol' nice to have a calm mind for a few minutes! Enjoy your pregnancy and I am so proud of you on your improved eating habits! They will make a lot of difference in your baby's health and your own health. Have a great future! :D The Nutritionista

  2. Hi Brandi,

I had trouble with the exercises at first too. I think it was a part of me resisting the methods and the exercises themselves; I prefer sounds over someone talking to help me relax. But the more I did the exercises, the easier they became. The relaxation methods have helped me in a way I didn't realize they would; I have an aspirin allergy and liver disease so I cannot take any pain killers for aches and pains. I find performing a relaxtion exercise will help me conquer the pain or at least help me deal with it. It is especially effective for menstrual cramps (a tip for the ladies. lol)

Good luck and it has been great to be in class with you :)

  3. I think an improvement time of 30 minutes is outstanding! This class has definitely taught me that the mind is indeed like any muscle in the human body; use it or lose it. But at the same time, the mind's potential for growth and enhancement reach much further than flesh and bone. Imagine if Einstein had taken this course! :)

    Blessings-
